Grosset Alea Riesling

Alea…the pretty, sweet thing in the family. Behind the incredibly attractive facade lies a complex, layered and wonderful wine that consists of exotic spice, citrus fruits and saline acidity, all shaped by fine, chalky structure. This ’21 iteration is a precise and restrained version of itself, showing length, elegance and most importantly, supreme deliciousness.

The enticing purity of lemon blossom, talc and granny smith apple that make the cool 2021 season so enthralling is lifted to new heights by a touch of residual. In concert with the focused acidity of the vintage, this serves not to leave any impression of sweetness, but rather to guide a long finish, both juicy and electric. Brilliant.
